An accelerometer is the most commonly used sensor for measuring vibrations. The accelerometer measures the transmission of vibrations from rotating machines and components.<\/p>

The vibrations are measured in acceleration (g), hence the name accelerometer. We also have accelerometers for measuring in three axes.<\/p>
