We often use this standard for our customers who supply generator sets to industry. The standard means that their customers have a baseline and a class number for the generator set to ensure that the quality is up to standard.

Typically, the customer sends us a drawing of the machine layout, and we determine the measurement points in accordance with the standard at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% loads, respectively. This usually takes a little less than a day to complete. The process concludes with a detailed report with a number in accordance with the standard.

Electric motors

Electric motors are usually the driving force behind rotating components and have their own mechanical fault characteristics. These may include faults such as those listed below:

Stator problems can be caused by, among other things, an eccentric stator, which causes an uneven gap between the rotor and stator. An eccentric stator can be caused by soft foot in connection with a poor alignment procedure.
